RUSTICA conducts new cross-visits in Madrid

The RUSTICA partners explore Madrid Science Park Foundation and Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL) in cross-visit to Madrid.

Once again, the Rustica consortium convened, this time in the vibrant city of Madrid, from 9th to 11th October. Marking an important occasion for the project’s progress, consortium members were granted a unique and valuable experience through two cross-visits arranged by IDConsortium.

The first destination brought them to the Madrid Science Park Foundation (FPCM), where RUSTICA partners had the opportunity to foster connections and engage in a dynamic exchange of knowledge with Spanish companies that play a pivotal role for the RUSTICA project. This gathering not only facilitated relationship-building but also allowed for the sharing of insights and expertise that are vital to the project’s success.

The second leg of the cross-visit led them to the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL-CSIC) facility, where consortium members explored a semi-industrial supercritical extraction plant and a sophisticated metabolomics platform. This visit offered a deeper understanding of the latest advancements in food science and the potential applications that can benefit the RUSTICA project. For more details, you can review the presentations from this visit.

The seventh consecutive round of RUSTICA meetings provided RUSTICA consortium members with an invaluable opportunity to strengthen their partnership and gain practical exposure to cutting-edge research and technology.
