WP7 will develop a fertiliser strategy for the pilot tests and test the blends on-site for representative crops. The work package will evaluate the impact of fertilisers on soil organic matter, nutrient cycling and microbial pool status and the performance (crop yield and quality), processability, legislation and regulation and market perspectives. WP7 will evaluate the properties of the separate fertiliser ingredients in terms of nutritional value, plant protection value, soil quality and environmental value.
Some of the tasks involved in WP7 will be analysing the raw fertiliser materials obtained in WP5/6 for their composition and characteristics. The raw materials will also be evaluated for its environmental impact and, based on this, will be considered to optimise their agricultural value.
