4th regional workshop in Pays de la Loire advances business models for sustainable agriculture
In a concerted effort to bolster sustainable agriculture, the focal point of the key stakeholders gathering was to propel forward business models tailored for RUSTICA. Facilitated by ARELPAL/CDDM, the workshop served as a nexus for collaboration, drawing participants from private enterprises, technical institutions, and the esteemed Pays de la Loire Regional Chamber of Agriculture.
Throughout the workshop, attendees engaged in discussions and interactive sessions aimed at nurturing innovation and fostering collaborative synergies.
The spotlight was on the RUSTICA project, where participants gained insights into its objectives, achieved milestones, and upcoming fertiliser trials. Stakeholders collectively mapped out potential value chain contributors in the region and identified key structures crucial for RUSTICA’s advancement.
Enlightening presentations were delivered, shedding light on the region’s biomass resources and macro-economic data, sparking discussions on value chains and sustainable business models. Sub-working groups, led by industry stalwarts like YARA France and TERRIAL, took centre stage to explore avenues for sustainable growth in agriculture.
The workshop concluded with expressions of gratitude to Brigitte PELLETIER for graciously hosting the visit to the experimental station, and to all participants for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions. As evaluations were completed, the event underscored a collective stride towards manifesting the vision of a more sustainable agricultural landscape in the Pays de la Loire region.
