RUSTICA project holds review meeting in Pays de la Loire

In response to farmers’ demonstrations causing logistical challenges, an anticipated in-person meeting in Angers was swiftly reorganized online, ensuring seamless participation. Despite the shift, stakeholders from the Pays de la Loire Region remained engaged, with 8 individuals, including 5 stakeholders and 3 facilitators from the Regional Chamber of Agriculture, actively taking part in the workshop.

The agenda unfolded with a warm welcome and round table discussion, fostering an atmosphere conducive to constructive discussions in the virtual space.

A comprehensive presentation highlighted the advancements of the RUSTICA project in France, covering developments in the business model, exhibition participation, progress in trials, and advancements in liquid fertilizers.

An interactive session on Social Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA) engaged stakeholders in evaluating relevant stakeholders and socio-economic topics influenced by Rustica Bio-based fertilizers and its value chain in the Pays de la Loire region. The Chamber also provided insights into the field trials conducted during the Rustica project, focusing on trials on lettuce and squash in the Pays de la Loire region. In addition to these sessions, parallel online meetings between companies were organized to delve deeper into Rustica’s business model.

Despite the circumstances, stakeholders’ showed commitment to advancing the RUSTICA project, underscoring the resilience and adaptability of the project team in navigating unforeseen challenges.
